Adutwum boosts Bawumia’s campaign in Ashanti with B24 volunteer movement

This project aims to mobilise members for the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) and its presidential candidate in the 2024 elections

Education Minister Dr Yaw Osei Adutwum, is leading the Bawumia Volunteers 2024 (B24), a grassroots-based group to secure victory for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), especially in the Ashanti Region.

This project aims to mobilize members for Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and the governing party in the 2024 elections.

The event, held on Friday (27 September) at the Rattray Park Dome, in Kumasi, the Ashanti Regional capital was attended by thousands of volunteers and identifiable groups.

The Ashanti Regional Minister, Simon Osei-Mensah, Regional Campaign Manager Bernard Antwi Boasiako (Chairman Wontumi), and Middle Belt Coordinator for Dr. Bawumia’s campaign, Dr. Ayew Afriyie were among top party stalwarts who graced the occasion.

Ashanti Regional Chairman of the NPP Bernard Antwi Boasiako aka Wontumi urged volunteers to focus on promoting NPP policies rather than engaging in negative campaigning.

“The NDC, despite their lack of message, still have the unbelievable hope that this election is theirs. It, therefore, behooves all, especially B24, to set a space that will daze John Mahama and his NDC.”

For Dr. Ayew Afriyie, Middle Belt Coordinator for the campaign, emphasized the importance of securing a resounding victory in the Ashanti Region.

He said despite brimming with confidence of a one-touch victory, the NPP “will not be complacent in this year’s general elections. We are going all out for an NPP victory.”

“Ashanti will furnish Dr. Bawumia with not less than 85% of votes in the 7 December polls”, he added.

Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum, the National Coordinator and Chairman for B24, called on volunteers to work tirelessly for the party.

“Victory is close, but it demands extra work and determination, particularly at the time the NDC has lost the policy battle and are resorting to insults,” he said.

The B24 movement, with over 100,000 members, seeks to harmonize campaign efforts across the country.
