Apostle Lilian Kumah in heartfelt tribute to late husband: You were my inspiration, shaping who I am today

Apostle Kumah also praised her husband's unwavering support for her journey in religious leadership, even when she became a lady pastor

Apostle Lilian Kumah, the widow of the late Ejisu MP, Dr John Ampontuah Kumah, has delivered a heartfelt tribute to her husband at a solemn gathering of thousands, including political leaders, who came to mourn with the family on Saturday (18 May).

In her emotional tribute, Apostle Kumah described John Kumah as her “everything,” highlighting his roles as her best friend, supporter, provider, teacher, and encourager.

She recounted how he stood by her side throughout her education, investing in her success and helping her to achieve her goals.

Apostle Kumah also praised her husband’s unwavering support for her journey in religious leadership, even when she became a lady pastor.

She remembered him as a unique and forgiving person who always treated her with respect and inspired her to strive for better.

“You were my everything. You were not just my husband but also my best friend. My supporter, my provider, and my teacher. My encourager even in my journey as a religious leader, you helped me,” she expressed with deep emotion.

“You made me who I am today. I met him in Accra after completing my SSCE. You helped me throughout my education, investing in me significantly, and I succeeded because of you,” she shared.

Apostle Kumah continued, “Despite your investment in my education, you supported me even when I became a lady pastor. You have been my inspiration all my life and the reason I strived to be a better person. You forgave despite any situation.”

Concluding her tribute, she made a solemn vow, “You gave me the needed respect in all conditions. You were unique in all your dealings. I will never disappoint you and will ensure all your dreams come true.”
