Nyaniba of Asaase 100.3 Cape Coast won the title of Best Female News Presenter at the Central Media Awards

Asaase 100.3 Cape Coast, the fastest-growing radio station in the Central Region, has won six awards in the fifth edition of the Central Media Awards, held over the weekend.

The awards include the Discovery Radio Station of the Year. The station’s manager, Jimmy Kutin, was also crowned the Media Manager of the Year.

Kofi Owusu Opabene also took the Best Male Newscaster of the Year while the host of Between Hours, Nyaniba, grabbed the Best Female Presenter award. Her show was adjudged the Best Social Programme in the region and the producer of the show, Dr Reginald Sackey, took home the Best Media Producer diadem.

Asaase 100.3 Cape Coast has so far won nine awards in the less than seven months it has been operating in the Central Region.

The Central Media Awards is an annual event organised by Ezone Network, purposely to reveal, promote and acknowledge the hard work of media organisations and personalities in the Central Region.

Kutin, the branch manager of Asaase 100.3 Cape Coast, said in an official Facebook post that the awards were a manifestation of the hard work and sacrifice by the station’s staff.

“For all the hustle, sleepless nights, hard work and sacrifices, I think I deserve to be proud of this one,” Kutin wrote on Facebook.

“Seven months it has been and every day has been worth it. Discovery Radio Station of the Year at the Central Media Awards (CeMa23). Thank you, Ezone Networks Gh. Thank you, Central Region. Thank you, Team Asaase.”
