Asaase’s entertainment roundtable show changes to “Artsy”

ARTSY is the newest addition to our host of entertainment shows which gives our loyal listeners a 360 degrees of everything entertainment.

From distinctive African tunes, Events, Arts Celebrity Scoops & Interviews, Movie updates, Chart topping songs of the week. 

Highlighting the happenings in the world of today’s entertainers, culture influencers and art enthusiasts, and creators both locally and internationally with panel discussions, reviews, interviews with the talent, and newsmakers.

Do you want to know what your favourite celebrity wore or was outside their regular work? We got all the low-downs on ARTSY.

Target Audience: 18 to 45 age group – (netizens, funksters, urban youth, high schools and tertiary and graduates) Youthful and bubbly, versed in pop culture, ability to engage, social media savvy and those with purchasing power.

The ARTSY airs every Saturday from 1PM to 4PM on Asaase 99.5 and all its sister stations across the country and streams live on all our socials. Hosted by William Diego Parker-Benin and cohosted by Keely-Jade Brewer with our regular pundits Fred Kyei Mensah (Fredyma) (music producer sound engineer and entertainment pundit) and Henry “Nene” Adjei (Entertainment Enthusiast).

• AFRICAN PLAYLIST: 20mins of carefully curated songs from across the continent of Africa spiced with short briefs of artiste and their works.
• REGIONAL PLUGS: A review of the week’s biggest topics, shows, events, issues or topics etc. from all our sister stations in 4 regions (Cape Coast, Tamale and Kumasi). Our regional correspondents gives us a feel of all the activities and personality conversations.
• RENDEZVOUS NUUZ:  An up to date, detailed and succinctly put together all the trending entertainment local and foreign stories that happened throughout the week.
• SCREEN & THEATRE TIME: Movie reviews of all the top trending and box office grossing of latest movies. There is the special focus on modern theatre arts.
• THE BIG CONVO: Main conversations of the day with various topical trending issues in the world on entertainment. Featuring industry greats who have specialized experience and knowledge in that space.

BIO OF HOSTS:

William Diego Parker-Benin, “The Smoothest” started his media career as a journalist and reporter in Cape Coast whiles in his second year at UCC. He now has two decades in the industry spanning from hosting radio and TV shows and handling business development projects. He is an MC, Voice-Over artiste and rich knowledge in event management as well as activations.

The man with the golden voice as has worked in the past with Yes fm (CapeCoast), Vibe Fm, Choice Fm, Citi fm, Viasat1, Kwese TV( Morning Show host), Pluzz fm( Sales & Marketing Manager) and HSTV (Morning show host).

He is currently the Entertainment and Lifestyle Editor and also the host of “Soft & Gentle” offering a blend of smooth soothing and quiet storm music on Sundays from 8pm-11pm on Asaase Radio, Accra.

Keely-Jade Brewer (Miss Kiky) is vibrant Gen Z personality. With her razor-  sharp wit, deep understanding of Ghanaian pop  culture and  firm  grasp  of  social  media  dynamics, Keely effortlessly connects with  Asaase  Radio’ s  target audience among the  youth.

Her established presence in the continental circles for African music advocacy adds a layer of legitimacy and resonance to her role as the host ensuring a seamless blend of entertainment and substance.

She currently host Between Hours (Mon-Thur, 1-2pm) and Just Us(Tue, 7-8pm) on Asaase Radio, Accra.
