Government spokesperson on governance and security, Palgrave Boakye-Danquah, has expressed unwavering confidence in the newly formed ticket of Dr Mahamudu Bawumia and Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh for the upcoming 7 December elections.
Boakye-Danquah believes this dynamic duo represents a surefire win for the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
In an interview on the ‘Asaase Showdown‘ programme with Sir Mike on Asaase 98.5MHZ in Kumasi, the government appointee praised Dr Opoku Prempeh, popularly known as Napo, for his exemplary performance since his election as Member of Parliament for Manhyia South in 2015.
Highlighting Napo’s instrumental role in the implementation of the Free Senior High School programme under the Akufo-Addo administration, Boakye-Danquah emphasised the Energy Minister’s suitability for the vice-presidential role.
“The party has made strategic decisions to promote the party’s agenda. Napo, as we popularly call him, has been instrumental since the implementation of the Free SHS programme. His name will forever remain in the good books of our nation as the minister who significantly championed and supported the initiatives and implementation of the program,” Boakye-Danquah stated.
“And indeed, beneficiaries of these government policies will rally behind this ticket and ensure a one-shot victory for the NPP”, he declared.
Addressing claims of arrogance, Boakye-Danquah defended Napo, emphasizing his dedication and collaborative spirit.
“Napo’s love for humanity, especially as a medical doctor, led to his appointment as Member of Parliament for the fourth time. His work ethic and commitment to service are beyond reproach,” Boakye-Danquah added.
