The Black Queens arrived at the Kotoka International Airport, Accra on Thursday, December 7 two days after they qualified for the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations, in Morcco.
The team was given a heroine’s welcome upon their arrival from South Africa, where they lost one nil to Namibia but qualified for the tournament 3-2 on aggregate, the first time since 2018.
The team was met at the Airport by the leadership of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) and the Ghana Supporters Union (GSU).
The President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) Kurt Okraku and his vice president, Mark Addo, and Exco member for women’s football Gifty Oware, were also present to welcome the team.

Nora’ Hauptle’s side will play in the tournament in Morocco next June but before that there’s a huge test.
They take on Zambia in the third round of Olympic qualifiers in February.
“Of course, I need time to realize what happens next.” -said Nora Hauptle.
“I’m immensely proud of my staff also my players and we’re looking forward to tomorrow and how we prepare for the tournament so that we can also deliver the best performance before we see her also Olympic qualifiers.”
