Businesses must prioritise welfare of employees, says Amoabeng

Speaking to Kwaku Nhyira-Addo on The Asaase Breakfast Show on Wednesday (16 November), Amoabeng said employers must be strategic in dealing with employees

The founder and CEO of Skin Gourmet Limited, Violet Awo Amoabeng has emphasised the need for businesses to make the welfare of their employees a priority.

Amoabeng said it is one of the pillars of business growth in the 21st century.

Speaking to Kwaku Nhyira-Addo on The Asaase Breakfast Show on Wednesday (16 November), Amoabeng said employers must be strategic in dealing with employees.

“People you hire for your business bring with them their own ā€˜baggageā€™ and it is essential that you solve their issues before they can help your business grow,” she said. “This is a key understanding for business owners.”

“There is no one system not built to necessarily facilitate your dreamā€¦ You have to find a working balance where you work with existing systems to the success of your entrepreneurial venture.

“To be honest, as an entrepreneur you face more challenges as compared to successesā€¦ As a matter of fact, you build the success of a business around the challenges faced,” Amoabeng said.
