Chamber of Aquaculture Ghana and blue food partnership champion investor attraction

Aquaculture or fish farming is a growing business subsector in Ghana

Jacob Adzikah, the CEO of the Chamber of Aquaculture Ghana, has said that this year’s aquaculture event will focus on enticing investors and promoting cooperation within the industry.

Addressing attendees at the launch ceremony, Adzikah underscored the primary aim of the event, stressing its significance in drawing investment and encouraging collaboration within the sector.

“The aim of this year’s aquaculture event is to attract investors to channel investment into Ghana’s aquaculture sector,” stated Adzikah.

“We believe the event will deepen collaboration amongst aquaculture stakeholders in the country.”

Scheduled to encompass a conference, exhibition, and awards ceremony, Aquaculture Ghana 2024 is anticipated to be the largest edition yet. Adzikah highlighted the engagement and significance of this year’s event, with estimates pointing towards unprecedented attendance

“The conference will be filled with discussions spearheaded by fish farmers, investors, and people in academia,” Adzikah elaborated. “It will serve as a platform for exchanging ideas and exploring investment opportunities vital for the growth of our aquaculture sector.”

CEO of Fish and Feed Limited, Naga Murali, said in his remarks that fish farming should not be treated as a retirement hobby.

“Viewing fish farming as a mere retirement hobby overlooks its immense economic and nutritional contributions. It’s time to recognise its value as a thriving industry,” Naga Murali said.

The exhibition segment of the event will showcase the latest innovative technology and products tailored for the aquaculture industry.

Attendees can expect to witness firsthand the advancements driving efficiency and sustainability within the sector.

Furthermore, the event will culminate in an awards ceremony to recognise outstanding contributions and achievements in Ghana’s aquaculture sphere. This ceremonial finale aims to celebrate excellence and inspire further innovation within the industry.
