COVID-19: NSIA Insurance donates five motorbikes to Ministry of Health

In support of government’s efforts in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic, the Board, management and staff of NSIA Insurance Company Limited, have donated five comprehensively insured multi-purpose motorbikes to the Ministry of Health.

The donation is to facilitate and enhance the tracing and surveillance activities of the Ministry.

Though other measures such as the mandatory quarantine have helped to detect hidden COVID-19 cases in the country, government has already attributed the increase in confirmed cases of the novel Coronavirus in Ghana to its enhanced tracing and testing efforts.
The General Manager-Finance (CFO) of NSIA Insurance Company Limited, Mr. Aaron Packeys, who led the team to make the presentation on behalf of the company, stated that together the country will win the fight against the pandemic if both private and government institutions help in providing patients and frontline workers with effective healthcare and the tools needed to tackle the problem.

He also encouraged all to observe the safety protocols as prescribed by the WHO and the Ghana Health Service.

“This is to play our part in the fight against COVID-19 specifically to the Ministry to aid with quick enhancing of tracing and surveillance activities,” Mr. Packeys stated.
The Ministry thanked the NSIA Insurance for the donation, and indicated the motorbikes would be put to good use.

NSIA Insurance Company Limited, which is a General Insurer offering non-life insurance services in Ghana is among the few rated insurance companies in Ghana with a rating of A-(GH) with a “Stable outlook” in terms of financial strength by the Global Credit Rating (GCR) agency.
