Economic challenge: Couples must work together, says Wengam

Wengam believes such collaboration could help bring the best out of couples in their marriage or relationships

Reverend Stephen Wengam, the general superintendent of the Assemblies of God Church, Ghana has admonished couples to work together, especially in difficult times.

Wengam believes such collaboration could help bring the best out of couples in their marriage or relationships.

“With all the challenges that the world is facing, this is the time that husbands and wives need to work hard together to better navigate these difficult times,” Wengam told the Asaase Breakfast Show on Thursday (12 January).

“The COVID lockdown really revealed the strength of families and highlighted the challenges that existed within each family. That period saw some of the highest rate of divorce,” he told host Kwaku Nhyira-Addo.

“The normality of life a few years back is no longer the same; the times have changed. We need to ensure that our children understand this,” Wengam added.
