A three-year-old girl, Patience Ohemaa Ampaw, has been burnt to death after a huge fire engulfed a 14-bedroom house Tuesday dawn.
The body of the little girl was found after firefighters rushed to the scene in Tikrom in the Ejisu Municipality of the Ashanti Region to battle the blaze.
The fire razed down the entire structure destroying property and rendering survivors displaced.
DO3 Peter Osei Addai, spokesperson for the Ashanti Regional Fire Service says investigations have begun to ascertain the cause of the fire outbreak.
Osei Addai said, “So we gather that a three-year-old lost her life as a result of the fire. Last night, we had a distress call that there was a fire outbreak at a premise at Ejisu-Tikrom.”
“Our men were dispatched to the place and they realised when they got there that the fire was well alight. So, they called in for assistance, which was duly dispatched and they were able to put the fire under control.”
“The fourteen bedroom was totally burnt including its content, we want to take this opportunity to advise that because there was no gabble, the fire was able to spread quickly, so those who are putting up their structures should ensure they put up a gabble to serve as a fire break.,” he said.

The Ashanti Region has recorded 18.5% drop in fire-related cases between January and November this year.
The Fire Service is warning the general public to take fire safety seriously and contact its outfit for intervention.
Meanwhile, the mother of the three-year-old, Portia Amoah says she suspects arson.
