Ejuraman SHS accident: Five students in critical condition

School officials tell Asaase News that the students were rushed to the intensive care unit while 35 others are nursing minor injuries

Five students of the Ejuraman Anglican Senior High School (SHS) are in critical condition and are being treated at a medical facility after the school’s dinning hall structure collapsed on them on Monday (6 February).

School officials tell Asaase News that the students were rushed to the intensive care unit while 35 others are nursing minor injuries.

The students were having their meal in the makeshift structure when the incident occurred on Monday.

Another student in a critical situation has been referred to the Jamasi Hospital for further treatment, an official of the school told Asaase News on condition of anonymity.

According to health officials, some of the students will be discharged in the coming days.
