Fabin’s Meteors spanked for four

Japan beat Ghana again, after Saturday's 6-0 thumping.

Ghana’s Black Meteors have suffered a humiliating 4-0 loss to their Japanese counterparts.

The defeat is the second in succession to the same opponent, after Saturday’s 6-0 thumping.

The Japanese Olympic team struck twice on either side of halftime in a one-sided contest.

The first half goals game from forwards Hayashi Daichi and Tagawa Kyosuke, who scored in quick succession.

Itakura Kou’s third put the result beyond doubt. Frimpong Amoabeng compounded Ghana’s woes when he turned the ball into his own net to complete the rout. 

Coach Paa Kwesi Fabin made a few changes to the team that lost 6-0 on Saturday.

Ghana’s next assignment is another doubleheader friendly away to South Korea where they will face the Korean U24 team.

The friendlies versus Korea would be played on June 12 and June 15 respectively.
