Frances Essiam resigns as CEO of Ghana Cylinder Manufacturing Company

Essiam was appointed chief executive officer of the Ghana Cylinder Manufacturing Company Ltd in May 2017

Frances Essiam has resigned as the the chief executive officer of the Ghana Cylinder Manufacturing Company.

In an exclusive interview with Asaase News, Essiam said the decision to resign from the position was personal.

“I, Frances Ewurabena Essiam, I have resigned honourably from the Ghana Cylinder Manufacturing Company as the chief executive officer,” she told Asaase News.

“I resigned on my own … Nobody can force me to resign,” she said, “but coming events cast their shadow …”

Essiam was appointed the chief executive of the Ghana Cylinder Manufacturing Company Limited in May 2017.

In the 2012 general election she ran for the parliamentary seat for Adentan on the ticket of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), losing to Nii Ashie Moore of the National Democratic Congress.
