Ghana Tennis Federation announce five players for 2024 Billie Jean King Cup qualifiers in Kenya
The competition starts from the 10 to 15 June 2024 at the Nairobi Tennis Club
The Ghana Tennis Federation has named five female players to represent the Diamond Rackets at the 2024 Billie Jean King Cup (BJK Cup) Africa Group III tournament in Kenya.
The competition starts from the 10 to 15 June 2024 at the Nairobi Tennis Club.
The Diamond Rackets will be led by captain Bernard Ashitey Armaah as coach and composed of one UK-based player, Elizabeth Bagerbeseh, and four local players namely, Antionette Cruickshank, Tracey Ampah, Precious Nunana, and Amelia Dodoo.
Team coordinator, Hajia Zenabu Sulemane made one change to the team that failed to progress to the Africa Group II in 2023.
Ghana’s number one, Yvonne Bruce Tagoe, fresh from her World Tennis Tour missed out on a call-up.
The Federation’s quest is to qualify for Africa Group II and progress steadily to Europe/Africa Zone Group I.
