Ghanaians who travelled from Accra to UK by road to embark on another epic journey

The core members of the group, numbering five are preparing to embark on another adventure from Accra to Paris, Dubai and Cape Town in the third week of September

Wanderlust Ghana, a group of philanthropists and tourists who recently put Ghana in the spotlight by travelling from Accra to London in August last year by road, are set to embark on another epic journey.

The core members of the group, numbering five are preparing to embark on another adventure from Accra to Paris, Dubai and Cape Town in the third week of September.

Backed by the Ministry of Tourism and Culture and the Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA), the team is poised to market Ghana again in their over 30,000-kilometre expedition overland.

One of the members of the Wanderlust group, Kwame Peprah tells Asaase Radio the journey will take over 30 days through 30 countries.

“We are an adventure club, we do these things for our own satisfaction. Now as we drive, as the journey has gained traction, we have the opportunity to sell Ghana,” he said.

Peprah added “So if Ghana benefit, we benefit… so any local Ghanaian businesses that want to put their name out there can partner us, because we are driving through about 30 countries.”

Ghanaians and fans living abroad will also have the opportunity to meet with the Wanderlust Ghana team throughout the journey.

Meanwhile the team is expected to hold a take-off celebration at the Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park on Sunday 8 September.
