A former Attorney General and Minister of Justice, Joe Ghartey has said he has no intention of becoming vice-president.
Ghartey was among the 10 aspirants who filed last year to contest for the flagbearer position of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP).
The 2024 presidential candidate of the NPP Mahamudu Bawumia is yet to officially announce his running mate after he was granted an extension for the selection in December.
Speaking to Caleb Ahinakwah on TownHall Talk on Asaase 99.5 on Friday (9 February) Ghartey said he is, however, open to any position he will be offered by Bawumia.
“Listen, I have no intention of being a vice-president. Any position that I am offered by Dr Bawumia, I will discuss it with him,” Ghartey said.
