Kokolombo: Savannah NPP demands arrest of NDC MP Hajia Zuwera, eight others
The Savannah regional communications director of the NPP, Fredrick Abukari Tahiru, has alleged that the NDC Member of Parliament for Salaga South, Hajia Ibrahimah Zewera, had planned to attack the NPP members who had gathered in Salaga to welcome the equipment
The New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Savannah Region is calling on the police to arrest the MP for Salaga South, Hajia Zuwera Ibrahimah and eight others for their involvement in the clash over the District Road Improvement Programme (DRIP) equipment in the district.
Addressing the media at a press conference in the Kokolombo community on Wednesday, 11 September 2024, the Savannah regional communications director of the NPP, Fredrick Abukari Tahiru, has alleged that the NDC member of Parliament for Salaga South, Hajia Ibrahimah Zewera, had planned to attack the NPP members who had gathered in Salaga to welcome the equipment.
On 31 July, 2024, President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, launched the District Road Improvement Programme (DRIP 2024) at the Black Star Square in Accra to empower Metropolitan, Municipal and District Assemblies (MMDAs) with the necessary tools and resources needed to enhance road networks across the country.
Some NPP party supporters were attacked and injured, while others were hospitalised.
“The Savannah region NPP wishes the under listed innocent citizens a speedy recovery, Iddi Wahab, Mohammed Tanko, Faisal Fulera. We promise to visit them, to commiserate with them and their families on that unfortunate circumstances they have suffered”, he added
The leadership of the party is hereby calling on the Salaga Divisional Police Command to effect the arrest of perpetrators who acted under the directive of the NDC MP to face the law.
They are also appealing to the Divisional Police Commander to immediately ensure the arrest of Hajia Zuwera and ensure she’s kept on solitary confinement, thereby ensuring that, she stops drinking from John Mahama’s dark flask.
They assured their commitment to ensuring that, the peace and sanctity of the Savannah Region is not trampled upon, our commitment to same mustn’t be interpreted to mean weakness and will defend and protect the lives and properties of their gallant supporters at all cost.
“Any attempt by the “Dark Flask Squad” to instill fears in our own, will be met using the same dosage.
