Meet Rachel Yram, Ghana’s “youngest author”

More young people are achieving laurels in their various fields of endeavour thereby putting Ghana on the global map.

One of such is seven-year-old Rachel Yram, who could probably be Ghana’s youngest author.

Yram, who wrote her book “More Nice City” when she was six, is said to have read more than half a dozen books before she was five years.

The youngster on Wednesday presented an autographed copy of her yet-to-be launched book to the Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II at the Manhyia Palace in Kumasi.

Rachel’s 22-page “More Nice City” book has already received recognition from the United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund (UNICEF) and the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO).
