The president of the Medical Women Association of Ghana (MWAG), Mary Amoakoh Coleman, on Friday educated young girls at the Christ Faith Mission School in Frafraha about menstrual hygiene as the world marks menstrual hygiene day.

“This education is important for us to become responsible adults in the future. Changes in the body are important and it is also important we learn them so we adapt properly.”
Coleman also expressed her outfitās commitment to supporting young girls across the country with sanitary pads and mentorship opportunities.
āWe will continue to educate young girls on menstrual hygiene and teach them the way because menstruation is important to women,” she said.
Coleman also encouraged the boys in the school to stop stigmatising their female colleagues during their period.
