Miracles Aboagye: Bawumia door-to-door campaign is resonating with voters

The Bawumia door-to-door campaign began last week in Dome, Greater Accra, where his team received cheers and a rousing welcome by market women

The Ghanaian electorate is gradually warming to the door-to-door campaign of the 2024 presidential candidate of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP), Mahamudu Bawumia, the communications director for the campaign team, Dennis “Miracles” Aboagye, has said.

Bawumia’s door-to-door campaign started last week in Dome, where his campaign team received cheers and a rousing welcome by the market women.

Speaking to Benjamin Offei-Addo on the Asaase Breakfast Show on Monday (6 May), Aboagye said the party is prioritising door-to door campaigning more than any other form of outreach and puts one-on-one contact with the voters at a premium.

“If you see Dr Mahamudu Bawumia seated on someone’s bench in his house, that is what he is doing. If you see him in somebody’s shop, that is what he is doing, he is giving them the message.

“He is not going to stop. It is a permanent feature of his campaign.

“”n fact, we are placing a lot more weight in terms of time we are going to spend on the door-to-door than we are placing on any other,“ he said.
