Nana Serwah Godson-Amamoo, partner at AB & David Africa dies in Dubai before going scuba diving
Ms Godson-Amamoo is reported to have collapsed shortly after going through a training session ahead of her scuba diving exercise
Lawyer in private practice and partner at leading Ghanaian law firm, AB & David Africa, Nana Serwah Godson-Amamoo, has died in Dubai, in the United Arab Emirates.
Godson-Amamoo is reported to have told those she was with in Dubai of not feeling well some five minutes into her preparation ahead of a planned scuba diving exercise, which is a mode of underwater diving in which divers use breathing equipment that is completely independent of a surface breathing gas supply, and therefore have limited variable endurance. She is said to have collapsed just after undergoing a training session ahead of the scuba diving exercise and sadly died.
Nana Serwah was a partner in the AB & David Africa firmās Natural Resources and Extractive Industries Practice Group. She has over 19 years of experience in energy and the extractive industries.
She represented clients on natural resources, energy, mining, and other extractive-related matters and advised on all legal and strategic aspects of the energy and extractives business including acquisitions, deal structuring, negotiation support and implementation, project development, joint ventures, and local content matters within these sectors.
Ms Godson-Amamoo also headed the firmās Government Business and Regulation Practice Group, where she consulted on public sector organizational and policy reform assignments. She assisted African governments with the development of industry legislation, capacity building, and support for the improvement of systems and people.
