Napo will prove his critics wrong, says Farouk Aliu Mahama

The Member of Parliament for Yendi, Farouk Aliu Mahama has said the running mate of the NPP, Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh will prove his critics wrong.

Aliu Mahama believes the selection of Dr Opoku Prempeh will help garner votes for the NPP in the party’s stronghold in the Ashanti Region.

“He speaks his mind, just like me. He doesn’t know how to pretend, Napo speaks his mind and he is a confident person. So he has been misconstrued to be arrogant,” Aliu Mahama said on TownHall Talk on Asaase 99.5 on Friday (19 July).

“Somebody who has been trained by royals can never have any sign or blood of arrogance in his system because his father was a humble man. In politics, it is not all that everybody says about you, is right. But I believe it rather helps to shape him,” he told Caleb Ahinakwah.

He added “If somebody say you are arrogant and you are not, you prove them wrong. He is always showing he is a humble person when he visits the chiefs even though he is a royal. He will definitely prove his critics wrong.”
