NDC primaries: Ho Central MP aspirant supports party with office building

The renovation of the facility is one of his promises to build offices in five zones in the Ho Central Constituency during his campaign tour in 2019. He said “I promised as part of my social contact to the delegates that I would like to put up zonal offices in the five zones [of Ho Central Constituency].

A parliamentary candidate hopeful for Ho Central, Richmond Edem Kpotosu, has donated an office building to the Sokode zone of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to use as a party office.

The office was an abandoned building in a deplorable state in Sokode. Kpotosu rented the facility, renovated and handed it over to Sokode zone of the party on Saturday 8 April.

He launched his campaign during the handing over ceremony.

The renovation of the facility is one of his promises to build offices in five zones in the Ho Central Constituency during his campaign tour in 2019.

He said: “I promised as part of my social contact to the delegates that I would like to put up zonal offices in the five zones [of Ho Central Constituency].

“Getting a place to meet [delegates] became a challenge… It’s now time for me to put up the zonal office.”

The aspiring Member of Parliament stated that he will build the remaining four offices in future.

He appealed to delegates to give him the nod on 13 May during the elections.

Kpotosu entered the parliamentary contest in the 2020 elections, however, he lost to the incumbent MP, Benjamin Komla Kpodo.

He stated that he has worked under Kpodo since 2020 and has gained the experience to become the next MP for Ho. Kpotosu was vetted with six other aspirants on Tuesday 4 April. He is the fourth candidate on the ballot. He says that is a strategic position.

He’s picked number four on the ballot, to him, it is a strategic position.
