Nine-member EOCO board takes office

Godfred Yeboah Dame, the Minister of Justice and Attorney-General on Wednesday (2 March) inaugurated a nine-member board of the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) in Accra.

The reconstitution of the board is in line with Section 4 (2) of the Economic and Organised Crime Office Act, 2010 (Act 804).

The Board is chaired by Stephen Raymond Dapaa-Addo Esq. former Executive Director of the Economic and Organised Crime Office. Other members of the board are: COP Maame Yaa Tiwaa Addo-Danquah,  Executive Director, EOCO; Ernest Kwabena Owusu Inspector General of Police Rep. (Deputy Commissioner of Police), Kenneth Adu-Amanfoh Narcotic Control Commission Rep. (Ag. Deputy Director General) Alfred Tuah-Yeboah Attorney General Rep. (Deputy Attorney-General and Deputy Minister for Justice) Iddisah Seidu Esq. Ghana Revenue Authority Rep. (Deputy Commissioner, Ethics and Good Governance).

Others are Peter Kwasi Dadzie Esq. Ghana Bar Association Rep. (Oak and Wuuds Law Firm) COP George Alex Mensah Institute of Chartered Accountants Rep. (Chartered Accountant) Lt. Col. A. Serebour (Rtd.) Minister of National Security Rep. (Chief Director).

The Attorney General during the swearing-in of the Board said “a successful tenure of the Board will require cooperation with the Executive Director”.

He therefore urged the board to work with Maame Tiwaa in every way necessary for smooth attainment of the objects of the organisation.
