Nkwanta South: Fix our collapsing bridge, residents say

Residents of Nkwanta South have appealed to the government to expand their main bridge to help reduce the constant tragedies they face daily due to the damage.

“We are appealing to the government to come to our aid and expand the bridge for us because the main bridge has been abandoned and the only alternative bridge helping us has also been swept away,” a resident, who pleaded anonymity, told Asaase News.

The municipal chief executive, Bright Lenwah, said workers are unable to commute to work because the town has been divided into two.

This, he said, is affecting the economic and social lives of the people.

He called on the relevant government institutions to come on board to help the people of Nkwanta South.

Lenwah said he has reported the issue to his superiors and is expecting a positive response from them soon.
