NPP Bekwai receives GHC30,000 support to date from Ralph Poku Adusei, targets completion of project before 2024 election

During a brief stopover at the site on 18 March, Poku-Adusei donated GHC10,0000 towards building work on the office complex

Ralph Poku Adusei, an indigene of Bekwai in the Ashanti Region and the managing partner at Trent Legal Amansie Chambers, has assured New Patriotic Party (NPP) executives in Bekwai that he will support the construction of a new office complex for the party in order to ensure that the office is completed and ready for use before the 2024 general election.

At a brief stopover at the site on 18 March, Poku-Adusei donated GHC10,0000 towards work on the project. His latest donation brings his total contribution to GHC30,000, after an initial outlay of GHC20,000 during the sod-cutting ceremony for the project which took place on 24 July 2022.

The sod-cutting was turned into a virtual fundraising drive as donations and pledges in cash and building materials were made by members of the party to kick-start the project.

The sitting MP for Bekwai and first deputy Speaker of Parliament, Joseph Osei Owusu, and the constituency chairman of the NPP in Bekwai, Alex Arko Addai Darkwa, also made donations at the sod-cutting ceremony.

They gave 100 bags of cement, valued then at GHC5,200.00.

Interacting with project consultants and site workers during his stopover, Lawyer Ralph, as he is affectionately called by Bekwai constituents, commended them for their dedication and commitment to completing the project within the specified timelines.

“As a true member of the NPP in this constituency and a ‘Bekwaian’, I can assure you that I will continue to contribute my widow’s mite to this ongoing project to ensure that it is completed ahead of the 2024 presidential and parliamentary elections,” Poku Adusei told the consultants and workers.

“Ghanaians have chosen to walk the path of democracy and we the people of Bekwai are in full support of it,” he said.

“That is why we have to do everything possible to support the strengthening of democracy.

“Building this office facility will certainly go a long way to strengthen the democratic process in Bekwai and, for that matter, the country as a whole,” Poku Adusei added.
