Businessman Patrick Darkwa Asomaning, popularly known as Pope, has picked nomination forms to contest for the upcoming parliamentary primaries of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Kade constituency in the Eastern Region.
The constituency went agog on Wednesday (20 December) as scores of people from all walks of life with jamboree followed the young businessman to pick his forms.
According to some delegates who spoke to Starr News they have already seen signs of progress in the constituency since Pope entered the race some months ago.
“He is indeed a game changer. Even before he entered the race, a number of our school children have benefited from his scholarship scheme. He has facilitated jobs for our youth and a lot of community problems are being fixed. He has constructed bridges, fixed lorry parks, provided water among others”.
The ruling NPP is set to hold its primaries for constituencies they have sitting MPs on 27 January 2024.
