NPP to new ministers: Your contribution will be key to historic victory in December

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has urged the newly appointed ministers and deputy ministers designate to contribute effectively to the party's victory in the December polls

The governing New Patriotic Party (NPP), has commended President Akufo-Addo over his recent reshuffle, adding that it will foster progress and revitalise the current administration.

President Nana Akufo-Addo on Wednesday (14 February) announced a reshuffle and appointed the MP for Karaga, Mohammed Amin Adam, as the new Minister for Finance to replace Ken Ofori-Atta, subject to approval by Parliament.

The deputy minister of information, Fatimatu Aboubakar, has been appointed the Information Minister, with Dr Bernard Okoe Boye heading to the Ministry of Health to replace Kwaku Agyeman Manu.

A statement issued and signed by general secretary of the NPP, Justin Kodua Frimpong on Wednesday(14 February), said the contribution of the new appointees will be instrumental in leading the NPP to a historic victory in the December elections.

“The leadership of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) is pleased to express gratitude and appreciation to President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo for his decisive government reshuffle, which includes the appointment of new Metropolitan, Municipal, and District Chief Executives (MMDCEs), Ministers, and Deputy Ministers,” it said.

“The decision to reshuffle underscores the President’s commitment to fostering progress and revitalizing our administration. Their contributions would be instrumental in propelling our party and government to a historic victory in the upcoming 2024 general elections.”

“President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has once again demonstrated his responsiveness to the needs of the nation, affirming his commitment to governance that listens and acts in the best interests of the people,” the NPP statement added.
