NPP Walewale primaries: NEC moves to resolve impassse on Wednesday

Six persons have so far been arrested for allegedly disrupting the New Patriotic Party’s parliamentary primaries that were held on Monday, 9 September 2024 following a High Court ruling that annulled the previous election and ordered a re-run

The National Executive Committe (NEC)of the governing New patriotic Party (NPP) will meet on Wednesday to deliberate on the outcome of the just primary rerun in the Walewale.

NEC is expected to announce its next line of action after the meeting.

Six persons have so far been arrested for allegedly disrupting the New Patriotic Party’s parliamentary primaries that were held on Monday, 9 September 2024 following a High Court ruling that annulled the previous election and ordered a re-run

A statement issued and signed by general secretary of the NPP, Justin Frimpong Kodua on Tuesday (10 September) called for calm whiles the party to resolve the impasse.

“The National Executive Committee will meet on Wednesday, September 11, 2024, to discuss this matter and take the necessary decision.”

“We are therefore requesting the ranks and file of the party, particularly the party people in Walewale, to remain calm as the party is taking the bold step to ensure the impasse is resolved,” the NPP statement said.
