Evans Nimako, the director of elections of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has said the party is poised to snatch victory any day.
The 2024 general election which is barely five months away, is seen as a straight fight between John Mahama of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) and the NPP’s Bawumia.
“The party is very much prepared to the extent that even if elections are to be conducted today, we will go in sponsor our candidates, presidential and parliamentary and we will come out victorious, Evans Nimako told the Asaase Breakfast Show on Monday (15 July)
“We are aware of the dynamics of the electoral landscape, so we have taken our time to put in place the infrastructure that will give us the advantage, we are working strategically towards that…” he told the host.
Nimako added “I can assure you that when all is said and done the Electoral Commission (EC) will announce the NPP’s presidential candidate as the next president. I am saying this because if we take the register and you do a critical assessment of the voters, the NPP has a commanding lead over the other parties.”
