NSA writes to GFA to postpone league games at Accra Stadium for renovation works

 

The National Sports Authority has told the Ghana Football Association to postpone league matches from December 13-26 at the Accra Stadium to allow maintenance works at the facility.

This means the FA must find an alternative venue or postpone some of the games scheduled within that period.

According to the NSA, the closure of the stadium is to allow Green Grass Technology to work on the pitch.

The work will be completed within a week to ensure the clubs make a return to the stadium to continue with the league matches.

The closure of the venue will affect four Premier League teams, Hearts of Oak, Great Olympics, Accra Lions and Legon Cities who use the stadium as their home venue.
