O’Reilly student stabs colleague over disagreement

An 18-year-old student of O’Reilly Senior High School in Accra was reportedly stabbed by a colleague over a disagreement.

 

The victim, a final-year Visual Arts student named Edward Borketey Sackey, was stabbed on Monday, 2 September.

 

The suspect has also been identified as Godwin.

 

Social media videos and photos show the victim unconscious on the floor, lying on a white cloth.

 

Other videos show the victim being conveyed to the hospital by his colleagues.

 

The family of Edward, a final-year student at O’Reilly Senior High School, is calling for justice following his death in a stabbing incident. The family has given the school authorities a one-week deadline to address their concerns.

 

 According to Edward’s uncle, the tragedy unfolded yesterday after a heated argument between Edward and a student named Godwin.

 The altercation began after Godwin allegedly threatened Edward’s sister. She immediately sought help from her uncle, only to return and find her brother critically injured. Despite being rushed to LEKMA Hospital, Edward succumbed to his injuries.
