Otumfuo to Napo: Don’t let Bawumia regret choosing you as running mate

The NPP is officially outdooring its running mate for Election 2024, Matthew Opoku Prempeh (popularly known as Napo), today (Tuesday 9 July) in the presence of Otumfuo at Jubilee Park in Kumasi

The Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, has urged Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh to be submissive to the presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

The Asantehene also urged Dr Opoku Prempeh to ensure that Dr Mahamudu Bawumia never regrets selecting him as his running mate for the 2024 general election.

Speaking at Manhyia Palace today (Tuesday 9 July) during the event to outdoor Dr Opoku Prempeh as the running mate to Dr Bawumia, Otumfuo told him [Napo] to remain loyal, listen and obey the presidential candidate.

“Don’t let Dr Bawumia regret selecting you as his running mate. Don’t ever let him regret that. Be humble and submissive to him,” Otumfuo said.

“Do only what he teaches you to do,” the Asantehene said.

Otumfuo also urged the presidential candidate of the NPP to train his running mate, adding: “Train him [Napo] and when he goes wrong, tell me and I will advise him.”

The New Patriotic Party is officially outdooring Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh (popularly known as Napo) as the NPP running mate today (Tuesday 9 July) at Jubilee Park in Kumasi in the Ashanti Region.

The outdooring follows the National Council of the NPP’s confirmation of Napo as the running mate to Dr Mahamudu Bawumia.
