Members of Parliament will on Monday 14 December resume sitting, a directive from the Speaker, Prof Aaron Michael Oquaye, announced.
The House rose in November ahead of the 7 December presidential and parliamentary elections.
A statement issued and signed by the Director of Public Affairs of Parliament, Kate Addo, said: “All Honourable members and staff are to take note and attend the House timeously. Please note that all COVID-19 protocols will be observed at all Parliamentary sittings.”
The House is expected to finish the last leg of the sittings of the Seventh Parliament before it dissolves on the night of 6 January 2021.
This will be followed by the inauguration of a new Parliament, constituting the eighth under the Fourth Republic.
The substantive Speaker will, in the morning of January 7, swear in the new MPs, with the ceremony being held at the Parliament House rather than the Black Star Square.
