Pay more attention to minors in the music industry, says Shirley Okyere

The daughter of King Pharaoh, a member of the popular musical duo ‘Akatakyie’, said her father has been supportive of her music career

Ghanaian young highlife singer Shirley Okyere is urging music industry players to give more attention to the upcoming ones in the space.

“They should play our songs small so that it can go far,” Okyere of TV3 Talented Kidz season 10 fame told Asaase Entertainment.

The daughter of King Pharaoh, a member of the popular musical duo ‘Akatakyie’, said her father has been supportive of her music career.

“He was cool with it and he has been very supportive,” she added.

After developing her craft through the reality shows – Talented Kidz and Nsoroma – Okyere has taken a bold step to venture into the mainstream with two singles with beautiful visuals titled ‘My time’ and ‘Boame’.
