Sammy Gyamfi, the national communications officer of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), married his long-time fiancée Irene Amankwah at a colourful traditional ceremony in Accra on Wednesday (21 December).
The marriage had been scheduled for November but was postponed because of the NDC national delegates’ congress at the Accra Sports Stadium last Saturday.
The ceremony was attended by high-profile personalities, including the former president John Mahama, the immediate past chairman of the NDC, Samuel Ofosu-Ampofo, as well as the current chairman of the party, Johnson Asiedu Nketiah.
