The 2021 Budget Statement has outlined measures being taken by the Akufo-Addo government to fix the economy amid COVID-19

The Minister of Parliamentary Affairs, Osei Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu, made history on Friday 12 March as the first non-finance minister in the Fourth Republic to present the government’s Budget Statement in Parliament.

Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu said the pandemic has brought unprecedented challenges to the country. There is a need, he said, to provide the resources to address these challenges and fund certain major projects being executed by the government.
