Rex Omar congratulates Baba Sadiq for Okaikoi Central victory
Baba Sadiq secured 682 votes against his closest contender, Nadine Issah Salifu who had 267, according to official results declared by the Electoral Commission
Highlife legend and president of Ghana Music Rights Organisation (GHAMRO), Rex Omar has congratulated the founder of 3Music Awards, Abdullai Abu Sadiq, popularly known as Baba Sadiq, for being elected the NDC parliamentary candidate for Okaikoi Central over the weekend.
Baba Sadiq secured 682 votes against his closest contender, Nadine Issah Salifu who had 267, according to official results declared by the Electoral Commission.
The other two contenders, Fred Nii Tetteh and Judge Hasford Quartey had 118 and 94 respectively.

About Baba Sadiq
Baba Sadiq Abdulai Abu is a media and entertainment professional. He has worked his way up the entertainment ladder in the Ghanaian & African media within the last 16 years. Baba Sadiq has worked as a media and communications executive, showrunner, TV executive, music executive and entrepreneur.
He is the founder of 3 Media Networks Limited. Operators of music TV brand, 3Music as well as the executive producer of the annual 3Music Awards. Also, the 3Music Awards Women’s Brunch and the 3Music Fan Festival. Sadiq is also the founder of the WILDALAND Festival.
Before this role, Sadiq Abdulai Abu was occupied as the Country Director of Africa’s number one music streaming service Boomplay in Ghana. He led the setting up of the music streaming service’s office in Ghana, building a team and helping it acquire nearly 7 million users in Ghana with content from every relevant Ghanaian and African talent.
However, he had previously worked for Modern Times Group (MTG) AFRICA. He was Viasat1 Ghana’s head of Programmes. And own productions/executive producer, where he led the team to win 18 various awards within a year and a half period.
At MTG AFRICA, Sadiq was also responsible for the pan-African music channel, Trace TV’s operations in Ghana and led the launch of the Airtel Trace Music Star reality show in Ghana.
Sadiq is also the co-founder of Muse Africa, a millennial targeted music, lifestyle & Entertainment brand. Where he served as the founding CEO of the brand from 2015 to 2018. At Muse AFRICA, Sadiq led the active citizenship campaign – #MuseParticipate in partnership with a global non-governmental advocacy group, Oxfam International.
In years past, Sadiq has worked on various projects for Viacom International networks AFRICA, MTV Base and Rockstar400. Where he worked on the famed One8 project, featuring R. Kelly and 8 other African talents.
He worked closely with the organisation West African Director to curate the experience and lead the launch activities in Burkina Faso, Chad & Niger for Airtel. Sadiq also worked as an Associate producer in charge of talents and events for the Vodafone 020Live music concert from its inception.
