The launch event took place at the vibrant Wembley Plus AstroTurf Park in East Legon, where hundreds of enthusiastic supporters gathered to witness exciting matches and celebrate the promise of this new initiative.

The tournament showcased local talent and brought together players from various backgrounds, all vying for glory.
Dessert FC emerged victorious in the men’s category, securing the top prize with impressive skill and teamwork throughout the tournament.
In the women’s category, Halifax FC showcased its prowess by clinching the championship, further highlighting the importance of recognition and support for women in sports.
The event not only celebrated the spirit of competition but also underscored Socaloca’s mission.

“We feel like we have made a massive impact”, said Lionel Foy, CEO of Socaloca.
“A lot more people are aware of Socaloca and the benefits that it can trade in football in Ghana.”
Foy also spoke about the importance of having the football tournament at the launch. He said, “The football tournament is just an initiative to create awareness of Socaloca within Ghana. We are not a tournament organizer, this is not the league.”
