Thomas-Asante has settled “really well” in Black Stars, says Tariq Lamptey
Thomas-Asante was called up to the Black Stars 26-man squad for the first time after committing his international career to Ghana
Black Stars defender Tariq Lamptey believes new Black Stars teammate Solomon Brandon Thomas-Asante has settled in “really well” in the team after receiving his debut call-up to Ghana’s national men’s football team.
He said this in an interview with the Ghana Football Association media ahead of their crucial World Cup qualifier against Central Africa Republic on Monday at Kumasi.
The Black Stars edged past Mali at Bamako yesterday through goals from Ernest Numah and Jordan Ayew to send them second on the table with six points.
Thomas-Asante was called up to Black Stars head coach Otto Addo’s 26-man squad for the first time after committing his international career to Ghana.
According to the Brighton and Hove Albion player, Thomas-Asante, who scored 12 goals in 43 games for West Bromwich Albion in the 2023-2024 season, has settled well in camp.
“Brandon is good in my observation he has settled well, he seems to be enjoying himself and I think you know he is a good finisher and he works hard for the team”
Tariq Lamptey is expected to start the second game on Monday after an impressive game yesterday at Bamako against the Eagles of Mali.
