Two suspects have been arrested in connection with a robbery attack on a mobile money vendor in Walewale in the North East Region.
The two suspects, Zakaria Yamusa also known as Vandam and Fatao Issah according to initial police report shot and killed two people including the mobile money vendor and further caused injuries to seven others during the attack on Monday (12 February).
A statement issued by the police on Saturday (17 February) said, ” The suspects are in custody and will be put before court to face justice.”
“Meanwhile, Inspector General of Police, Dr George Akuffo Dampare, has personally reached out to some of the injured victims and the families of the deceased through telephone calls, assuring them of a thorough investigation into the matter,” the statement added.
