Wendy Shay involved in a car accident

Popular Ghanaian musician and Rufftown Records signee, Wendy Shay, has been involved in a car accident sending shockwaves through the entertainment industry.

She sustained some injuries.

A video from the accident scene seen by Graphic Showbiz shows a severely damaged front side of the Jeep Wrangler vehicle with the registration number plate, SHAY 21-19.

According to eyewitnesses, Wendy Shay’s Jeep Wrangler collided with a tipper truck loaded with sand.

The deputy news editor of UTV, Prince Obimpeh who was at the accident scene gave an account of the incident in a live interview on the United Showbiz programme on UTV on Saturday night.

He said: “You are aware that the stretch of road between the ACP Junction and Kwabenya is typically clear at night, thus despite the presence of police, cars are frequently traveling at top speed.”

”Coming out of the valley, not far from the KNUST Accra Campus Junction, I noticed a group of people gathering around a car. I made the decision to park and observe what was going on. When I checked, I saw a woman getting out of a car.”

”She resembled Wendy Shay and had dreadlocks… I got closer, I could see that it was Wendy Shay. Shay, the Wrangler she was driving had a unique registration. I quickly drew up to her and inquired as to what was going on. She said she was in an excruciating head pain after hitting her head on the dashboard and that she is unable to speak much,” he said.
