Ghana Premier League strugglers Bibiani Gold Stars have sacked Michael Osei and appointed former Bofoakwa Tano coach Frimpong Manso as his replacement.

Gold Stars are top of the bottom three in the league, winning just two in the opening 14 games and have drawn six.

Bibiani GoldStars in a statement said; “We would like to thank our head coach Michael Osei for his immense contributions towards the success of our club and want to wish him the very best in his future endeavours”.

“We are indebted to you for being patient with us, thanks for helping and being there for us in both the good and bad times. You will forever be in our hearts”.

Michael Osei, appointed in August 2021, guided to team to finish 10th in the 2021/22 season and finished 5th in the 202/23 season.

But after Sunday’s defeat at home to Nsoatreman, the 52-year-old has become the third coach to lot his job this season in the Ghanaian top flight.

Frimpong Manso who was sacked at Bofoakwa Tano in November will take charge of Gold Strars’ home game against Samartex on Friday.
