Kufuor: I have not met #KenMustGo MPs

Former president J A Kufuor has rubbished reports making rounds in the media that he has met the 98 NPP lawmakers calling for Ken Ofori-Atta's head

Former president John Agyekum Kufuor has denied reports suggesting that he had met the over 90 New Patriotic Party (NPP) MPs, who are calling for the dismissal of the Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta.

“The office of former President John Agyekum Kufuor has chanced upon publications in the media, both social and traditional media, to the effect that the former president has extended an invitation for a meeting with him to the almost a hundred NPP Members of Parliament who are demanding the sack of finance minister, ostensibly to dissuade them from their stance,” the statement said.

“We wish to bring to the attention of the general public that there is no truth to the said publication.

“The office of the former President vehemently detests the developing trend in disinformation that mischievously seeks to draw President Kufuor into issues that he has not commented on,” the statement added.
