Steven Mukwala scored the only goal of the game as edged past Berekum Chelsea in  their third consecutive win in the Ghana Premier League on Monday.

The win takes the Porcupine Warriors to 7th on the league table, with 19 points, five points adrift of the leaders Aduana FC after 13 games.

It was a tightly contested encounter, with both teams creating scoring opportunities.

The Ugandan striker Steven Mukwala, scored the crucial goal in the 40th minute from a counter-attack.

With this win, Prosper Ogum’s side can build their momentum ahead of the Super-Clash against Hearts of Oak on Sunday.

“I feel so delighted because when Asante Kotoko wins then Kumasi is red. I feel delighted to have scored and my team won.

“With the form we have now, we shall win the game against Hearts of Oak on Sunday”.- Steven Mukwala said.

Christopher Ennin, Berekum Chelsea’s coach was not happy with the officiating on the day.

“I don’t like talking about officiating but the referee did not make the game to go as it was supposed to.

I have never spoken about officiating but today, I’m not happy”.

Meanwhile, Berekum Chelsea remain 6th on the table with 20 points, just one point ahead of Asante Kotoko. They face Great Olympics in their next fixture on Sunday.
