Jirapa Dubai murder: security, management staff of Cosy Hills Hotel among workers arrested, says MCE

The deceased was found on Sunday (11 February) lying in a pool of blood in one of the rooms at the Royal Cosy Hills Hotel

A security official and a member of management of the Royal Cosy Hills Hotel in Jirapa (nicknamed the Jirapa Dubai) in the Upper West Region are among the seven suspects arrested so far in connection with the murder of Eric Johnson, the owner of the facility. This news was announced on Asaase by the municipal chief executive for Jirapa, Nicholas Soyiri.

The deceased was found on Sunday (11 February 2024), lying in a pool of blood in one of the rooms at the Royal Cosy Hills Hotel.

Speaking on the Asaase Breakfast Show on Tuesday (13 February), Soyiri said the murder of Eric Johnson is a sad incident that has taken him by surprise.

“[The seven suspects] work at various levels, from security [to] management and even the chef who used to serve him breakfast,” he said.

“Part of the hotel is shut down. [The hotel] cannot be totally shut down because there is a safari. So, part of it is still running as a tourist centre,” Soyiri added.
