The third edition of the Africa Prosperity Dialogues (APD) is expected to be launched in Accra on Monday 13 May 2024.
The 2025 edition of the insightful event will be organised by the Africa Prosperity Network (APN) in partnership with the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) Secretariat and the Office of the President.
The Africa Prosperity Dialogues has so far created a dedicated platform for Africa’s private sector to network and make major decisions for the rapid development of the continent.
The unveiling of APD 2025 will highlight the pressing need for increased investment in integrated infrastructure networks across Africa to facilitate seamless connectivity of people, businesses and markets.
Gabby Otchere-Darko, the founder and the executive chairman of the Africa Prosperity Network (APN) is expected to open the occasion.
Other dignitaries include Solomon Quaynor, African Development Bank (AfDB), Charles Abani – United Nations resident coordinator, Ghana, Rosemary Mbabazi, high commissioner of Rwanda to Ghana and Mohammed Amin Adam, Minister for Finance.
Monday’s launch will also include a conversation on “The Infrastructure Gap – Addressing the Bane of Africans
Doing Business Within Africa”. Panallists for that session will be Moh Damush – Group CEO, Telecel Group, Marufatu Abiola Bawuah – ED/CEO Africa, UBA and Kofi Osafo-Maafo – director general, SSNIT, Ghana
The Africa Prosperity Dialogues series offers a strategic platform where movers and shakers across Africa elevate the continent’s economic integration objectives from ambition to real action.
Set in Accra, the APD is a one-of-a-kind event where African leaders from diverse areas of endeavour gather each year to expedite the implementation of the agreed initiatives within the AfCFTA trade bloc and shape the Africa Agenda for Action.
APD brings into practical focus, the continent’s critical challenges and industrialisation priorities and advance aggressively the commercial and infrastructural interventions to achieve the vision of an Africa Beyond Aid.
