Africa Prosperity Network partners with Africa Soft Power for 2024 ASP Summit

The Africa Soft Power Summit is the ASP’s premier flagship event for C-level executives, tech and financial innovators, among others

Africa Prosperity Network (APN), organisers of Africa Prosperity Dialogues (APD), have entered into a partnership with Africa Soft Power (ASP) ahead of the 2024 edition of the ASP Summit, which will take place in Kigali, Rwanda from Tuesday, 28 to Friday, 31 May 2024.

“We’re thrilled to announce Africa Prosperity Network (APN) as a visionary partner and sponsor of the session, “Revolutionizing Connectivity & Interoperability: The Future of Payments in Africa”.

“APN is dedicated to creating and enabling a platform for collaboration between political and business leaders of Africa to drive the collective prosperity of Africa and people of African descent,” a communique issued by Africa Soft Power read.

“Their vision for an integrated and prosperous Africa aligns with our mission to elevate Africa’s role and leadership in global decision-making conversations and policies” the Africa Soft Power’s communique further read.

ASP 2024 Summit

The Africa Soft Power Summit is the ASP’s premier flagship event for C-level executives, tech and financial innovators, creative institutions, changemakers, and government leaders.

The four-day gathering draws speakers and participants from across Africa and the wider global diaspora with a focus on the future of women’s leadership, creative industries, technology, infrastructure, tourism, sustainability, and finance in Africa.

The 2024 Africa Soft Power Summit will bring together private and public sector leaders alongside innovators and emerging young leaders to address the trends shaping the continent’s business landscape and provide valuable network and business opportunities; game-changing conversations on the global social and economic priorities of our time – from women’s leadership to artificial intelligence, security, climate change and much more.

The Summit plays a pivotal role in Africa Soft Power’s mission to ensure that the continent defines its role and leadership in these wider global decision-making conversations and policies.

It is a convening space for trailblazers in the African space, a call to action for us to play pivotal roles in moving Africa forward together, and a celebration of African culture and accomplishments across industries.

New perspectives are emerging both on the continent and beyond. Acknowledging the continent’s challenges, we recognise that to address local issues and contribute to global problem-solving, we must nurture African thought leadership, knowledge production, and uptake. These fresh perspectives are the catalysts for real change, and our speakers and delegates have consistently delivered.

Africa Soft Power

The Africa Soft Power Group (ASP) encompasses three organisations dedicated to leveraging Africa’s creative and innovative sectors to generate economic growth on the continent and around the world. These include; Africa Soft Power, African Women on Board (AWB), and ASP Global.

First founded in 2020, ASP’s goal is a simple one: to leverage the awesome (soft) power of the continent’s creative and cultural industries to propel economic growth at home, and internationally, and by building bridges with wider communities around the world.

A key part of ASP’s initial two-year programme has been to establish May as ‘Africa Month’. There are already celebrations like Black History Month in February in the US, or October in the UK, and that’s great because they champion the diaspora community.

But ASP says when it thinks in terms of global blackness, the continent of Africa still gets left behind, and so it seeks to paint a modern, accurate picture of what the continent is about today – and that cultural narrative of course, is best told by the continent’s creative industries!

Africa Prosperity Network

Africa Prosperity Network (APN), a private, independent and not-for-profit organization committed to the creation of Prosperity in Africa and for Africans through the establishment of platforms for partnerships between Africa’s political and business leaders, Pan-African thought leaders, and civil society in Africa, has taken giant leap in this regard.

The overarching vision of APN is an Africa beyond aid. APN seeks to work to bring prosperity to Africa by creating the platforms for holding those critical dialogues that will reshape the thinking of the leaders of the continent and encourage them to take those bold steps in the areas of trade, commerce, the structure of national economies, political conduct and culture that will bring prosperity to the people of Africa.

APN is also motivated to mobilize African leaders and strike those partnerships that will ensure that the people of Africa are placed first while their standards of living are uplifted.

As the APN works towards attaining its vision, values such as Trust, Diversity, Integrity, Boldness, Innovation, and Accountability guide its endeavours. APN also holds the view that for Africa’s growth and prosperity to be sustainable, it must be inclusive, prioritizing the participation of small and medium scale Enterprises (SMEs), women, and young people.

To achieve this vision of the APN, the Africa Prosperity Dialogues (APD) represents the APN’s flagship event which is a platform dedicated to Africa’s business, political, and social sector leaders to discuss how to improve upon intra-African trade as a catalyst for economic prosperity.
