NPP Savannah regional executives pay courtesy call on Yagbonwura

The regional chairman said the support of the party before, during and after the enskinment of the Yagbonwura is just the tip of the iceberg

The leadership of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Savannah Region paid a courtesy call on the overlord of the Gonja kingdom, Yagbonwura Bi-Kunuto Jewu Soale I, on Wednesday 26 April at his private residence in Damongo.

The regional chairman of the party, Alhaji Iddrisu Sulemana, led the delegation.

In a press statement dated 26 April and signed by the regional communications director of the NPP, Fredrick Abukari Tahiru, Sulemana gave an assurance of the NPP government’s support for development in the region.

The regional chairman said the support of the party before, during and after the enskinment of the Yagbonwura is just the tip of the iceberg and that there is more to follow.

Sulemana presented an undisclosed amount of cash to the overlord, on behalf of the party leadership.

Yagbonwura Soale I thanked the leadership of the party for calling on him. He expressed appreciation to the NPP for the kind gesture.

He described the visit as a privilege and pledge to work with all parties to ensure that the current sanctity of the Savannah Region is preserved and protected.

The regional chairman of the ruling New Patriotic Party in the Savannah Region, Prof Alhaji Iddrisu Sulemana Kalamonia, and the full complement of all the regional executives of the party paid a courtesy call on the overlord of the Gonja kingdom, Yagbonwura Bi-Kunuto Jewu Soale at his palace in Damongo, the capital of the Savannah Region. The entourage of the NPP at the Palace also consists of the party’s constituency executives of Damango and other bigwigs of the elephant family.

The Savannah Regional secretary of the NPP, Mr Mohammed Issah,  who introduced the entourage to the new king of the Gonja kingdom conveyed the joy of the NPP party to all and sundry in Gonjaland for the peaceful outcome and nature that saw the ascension of the king to the highest traditional status in the entire Savannah Region. He pledged, on behalf of the NPP in the Savannah Region, a cordial working relationship with the king and all his approved subjects for the betterment of the entire Gonja kingdom.

The Savannah Regional chairman of the ruling New Patriotic Party, Prof Alhaji Iddrisu Sulemana Kalamonia who led the delegation to the Palace, assured the king of the support of the NPP government and Party at all times. According to Prof Kalamonia, the support, gesture, kindness, and generosity of the NPP Party before, during and after the enskinment was just the tip of the iceberg and more are yet to come soon at all levels. Alhaji Iddrisu Sulemana Kalamonia, who is noted for his outstanding and excellent display of knowledge on ethics of Islam fervently prayed for long life for the king and all his subjects. He also presented an undisclosed amount of cash to the overlord on behalf of the entourage.

On his part, Yagbonwura Bi-Kunuto Jewu Soale, thanked the leadership of the NPP for the visit. The king who was extremely appreciative of the kind gesture of the NPP government described the visit as a privilege and pledged to work with all parties to ensure that, the current sanctity of the region is preserved and protected.
